Order availability

This module has to be turned on by iPacky. Located on the menu on the main iPacky screen→More. See the pricing of this module here.

Note: This module will only work when orders are not fulfilled before iPacky. In that case, use this module before fulfilling the orders.

With this module, you can view a list of orders that can be fulfilled or partially fulfilled based on the stock level. This is very useful for the merchants that sell products that might not be in stock/pre-orders.

  • Select which location you are working on. It will be selected and disabled if Shopify locations are used in iPacky.
  • Select the date range. It will start calculating availability on order from the start date. The default of the start date is the oldest open order.
  • Filter on all orders, only completely fulfillable or only partially fulfillable.
  • When selecting All orders, you can Hide unfulfillable orders.
Options

Option

Description

Paid only

Only include orders that are fully paid.

Exclude local pickups

If checked, it will not include local pickups in the calculation.

Only with order tags

You can include or exclude orders based on the specified order tags. Useful for example if you want to exclude orders that have been tagged with "hold-order" or something. If only a portion of your orders have products that are selling when out of stock, we recommend using an order tagger to tag orders with these products, and using that tag when filtering. These tag settings will be remembered.

Exclude order tags

See above

Match shipping title

Only include the orders that have a matching shipping title. Also useful for prioritizing local pickup first by selecting the shipping title for the local pickup.

Click Go to start the processing. A list like this can be presented. Please note that it can several minutes if the number of orders is very high.

This is the resulting list. If the order has yellow background, it means it can be partially fulfilled, and the number after the order number will show how many order lines of the total order lines that can be fulfilled. Red means nothing on the order can be fulfilled.

In front of the order date, there is an expand/collapse icon. By clicking on that, you will see the order line details. If the order is partially fulfillable, a green background means that the line can be fulfilled. By clicking on the expand/collapse icon in the header line, you can expand/collapse all lines.

Column

Description

Qty

The line item quantity

Available

This quantity is not the same as the available reported by Shopify. It uses the On hand quantity in Shopify. The value in parentheses is the available stock before this order quantity is subtracted. In the screenshot above, the number is (17) for order 1111 on SKU 545462T2 because the quantity of 3 was subtracted in order 1110.

Used

How many if this item has already been reserved on an earlier order in the order availability list. So at the first order with this item, it will show 0. If that order has 3 of this item on the order, the next order will show 3 as used. Like in order 1111.

Reserved

How many items are reserved in total in this list.

Orders

How many orders in total has reserved this item in this list. By clicking on the expand/collapse icon in front of this number, you can expand/collapse view of the orders that has this item.

Picking lists

Opens the Picking lists/packing slips overview with the selected orders. From there you can print these orders.

Print

Prints an overview with the selected orders and their order number barcode. This is useful for getting a list of the orders.

The order 1123 can only be partially fulfilled because there are only 2 left of 545462T2, and the order has the quantity of 4.

Clicking on the order# hyperlink will open the order for checking.

The eye icon at the end of the order line will open a preview of the order without checking it.

You can also test out what happens if you ignore orders by putting a checkmark in the Ignore column, and click Recalculate. This makes it easy to decide which orders are the most important to fulfill, and do a what/if calculation.

Select the orders you want to produce a picking list of, and click Actions→Picking list. Please note that when printing out the picking lists for orders that will be partially fulfilled, the picking list will show all the items regardless of whether they can be fulfilled or not. The same will apply for order checking.

You can also print a list of the orders by selecting Actions→Print. The orders that can be completely fulfilled will show no order line details, and the orders that can be partially fulfilled will show details of which order lines that can be fulfilled.

We recommend that you process the totally fulfillable, and the partial fulfillable separately.

Orders will be ignored in the calculation if they are tagged with igavail, or the fulfillment order is on hold. Using on hold is recommended since that will work with different Shopify locations.

Tip: click in the checkbox of the first order in the range you want to select. Then hold down the Shift key and click on the checkbox of the last order in the range you want to select.
