This feature is a unique and very timesaving function. It allows you to move open fulfillment orders from one location to another. And unlike doing this in the Shopify admin, it also adjust the inventory correctly by subtracting inventory in the source location, and adding it in the destination location.
The function is for example very useful if you have a warehouse, and some physical stores. In the physical stores, you pick&pack the fulfillment orders assigned to that location, but should be sent together with the part from the warehouse. Then you send this to the warehouse. When arriving at the warehouse, the fulfillment order is moved into the warehouse for a single order check and fulfillment in iPacky.
Prerequities:
- User must be logged in through the iPacky Dashboard
- User must have a role equal or higher to Settings->Rights->Allow the moving of fulfillment orders
- The current Shopify location in iPacky must match the destination location specified in the setup of this feature
When entering the screen, it can look like this:
Enter the date range of the order creation, or a specific order number, and click on the search icon.
The orders that match this criteria, and have at least one open fulfillment order in any of the source location(s) will be shown.
It can look like this:
Select either the full order with all open fulfillment orders in other locations, or a single fulfillment order to be moved.
When ready, you can click on the “Move to….” button to do the actual moving.
If necessary, you can do this in multiple steps.
iPacky will show the status of each fulfillment order move and a summary. The operation can be stopped at any time by clicking the Stop button.
The View history button will show a list of logs for previously executed fulfillment order moves.
Please do not leave this screen during the execution. If you must, then stop it first. Also since the browser might put this page into sleep mode, just click on any blank space once in a while if it takes maybe 10+ minutes to try to avoid this.
The moves that has not been completed, can be started again at any time.
